She's so much older than the traditional image of the queen. Older and wiser, her pet dragon by her side. She represents earthly wisdom and strength. She's who a woman strives to be, a combination of femininity and power.

This card shows all the tools that one could have in their life. With the pet dragon we see affection. With the books we see knowledge. With the crystal ball and the wand we see gateways to a more spiritual world. Her throne, made out of stone, shows a connection to the earth. With her style of dress and braid in her hair we see a woman not afraid of her gender.

I've always felt that the Queen of Pentacles is one of the most confidant cards and a balance compared to the other queens in a deck. She's in touch with so many sides of herself that we can forget how together she has it. She's gone through the trials and she's earned her moment to rest. But looking at this queen, rest is the last thing on her mind.
